Fourteen Fish Portfolio
Throughout the GP training programme, all trainees are required to complete a set number of workplace based assessments, including clinical learning logs, mandatory training assessments and regular reviews with their clinical and/or educational supervisors. These are recorded on a very intuitive portfolio platform called FourteenFish, an educational tool that enables trainees to document their progress throughout their training programme.

Examination results for the AKT and RCA/CSA are also published on FourteenFish. In addition, upon completion of all training requirements, trainees will be able to apply for a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) via FourteenFish.

Access to this portfolio is given once a trainee registers with the RCGP at the start of their training.

Annual requirements for Portfolio
Throughout ST1-ST3, all trainees will have to complete various assessments and reflective entries in preparation for their end of year ARCP. These assessments include Clinical Learning Logs, Mini-CEX’s, CBDs, Professional Feedback and Audits; these may vary on the training stage of a trainee.

In addition to this, you will also be required to provide annual evidence for competency in CPR (with AED), Adult and Children Level 3 Safeguarding.
A more in detail explanation of all the required work based placement assessments are listed in this document and this link.
The table below shows a summary of all the assessments required at each stage.
