Care of the Elderly Frailty

2 months of the 6 months on CoE are in the Frailty Unit from 9am-5pm clerking up to 4 patients daily who are generally medically well but require therapy input. Also weekday evening ward cover and weekend on calls on 1 CoE ward.
Breast Surgery

3 month rotation. 9-5 job with no on-calls. Opportunity to do 2WW clinics independently and will also spend 2 days assisting in theatre.
CMH Psychiatry

Clinics on Mon, Wed and Fri with admin days on Tues & Thurs. MDT meeting every morning followed by clinics where you see up to 3-4 patients. Includes on call shifts covering inpatient Psychiatry at Northwick Park, long days from 9AM-9:30PM and nights.

Based at Ellington Ward at NPH, spend 6 months, with nights, weekends and on calls. Generally these on calls are all less intense than medical ones, can rest and have a bed/desk etc.
General Psychiatry
Obstetrics & Gynaecology

6 month rotation. SHO rota. Obstetrics: Expected to carry out post natal ward rounds, cover labour ward triage, assisting in C-secs and attending antenatal clinics. Gynaecology: cover Gynae on call, ward and support early pregnancy unit. On calls include long days, weekends and nights.
Paediatrics

6 month rotation. On SHO rota covering wards, Paediatric A&E, daycare unit with long days, short days, night shifts. GP trainees get 1 week of hospital clinics, 1 week of baby checks, and 2 weeks of community clinics.
Rheumatology/Acute Medicine
4+2 months
NPH
4 months on Rheumatology working on medical wards and attending Rheumatology clinics. Includes 1 in 4 weekend on call. 2 months Acute Medicine block covering medical on call shifts and Ambulatory care, clinic week.
ITP Paediatrics

ITP Posts combine an equal mix of a GP post with another area.
In this case, time will be spent in the Paeds department including ward,ED, day care,PAU and GP.
Only covering 9-5pm shifts. Some days can have 12-8pm shift in paediatric ED.
Also involves placement in clinics and community paediatric clinic.
