GP Vocational Training Scheme (VTS) is a 3 year training programme to become a UK GP and is offered upon completion of Foundation Training.
At Northwick Park VTS, we offer a variety of hospital based placements and training at several practices. A total of 1 year is dedicated to hospital rotations and 2 years to placements in General Practice.
Upon completion of all training requirements, MRCGP exams, Workplace Based Assessments (WPBA) and a successful final ARCP panel review, trainees receive CCT.

The Northwick Park VTS is a GP training scheme based in North West London and is well known for its nurturing, supportive and multicultural environment. The scheme focuses on developing strong communication skills and clinically skilled GPs.

The training offered at our scheme is largely based in hospitals and GP practices around the North West London area. We offer 3-6 month rotations in various hospital departments to provide our trainees with a diverse training experience. We have weekly Thursday afternoon group teaching sessions and an annual residential trip which is the ultimate highlight of our VTS every year. These are organised by our incredibly experienced Programme Directors who procure a variety of teaching experience and are always thinking of innovative ways of delivering teaching.
